And my best answer is "I like to make Deer Jerky, so..."
It's kinda like a process for me. I like to make Deer Jerky, and if you're gonna make great Jerky, you need Deer - and well fed, tasty ones at that.
So at my Country Estate in the Hills, I plow some fields to grow the food that attracts the Deer that eat it and get nice & plump and BANG!!

It's those hours of mindless work that enables me to dig in and focus on other things that really matter like my Shop!
You see, when I'm AT the Shop, life takes over and thinking about Marketing is hard to do. And it's really difficult some times to just close off the rest of the world at work and concentrate on what's next. Like what am I going to do for Thanksgiving this year, or what special should I run for New Years...
The point is, it's important to find the time SOMEWHERE in your life to get away and Think about the NEXT.
That's where the mindless plowing or hunting or fishing comes in - we have to make time to work ON our business AWAY from our business if we really want to be successful.
Now I realize that not everyone likes to think about Marketing or ways to make their business run smoother so they CAN spend some time away. That's OK, I DO!!
